From
talented musician to a great entertainer
Carmel's music and entertainment skills have taken her on many trips
to mainland Europe. Her frequent visits to Germany in particular
have built up a very big following there. She
has entertained at the European Parliament for the German M.E.P.
Delegation and in 1999 gave a performance at Europe's biggest food-fair
'Anuga' on behalf of the Irish Dairy Board and the Irish Food Board.
She will perform again at 'Anuga' 2001.
As
part of her Millennium schedule, Carmel travelled to the United
States with 'Celtic Eclipse', a show which involved a host of very
talented musicians, singers and dancers - ( two of whom had just
finished a three-year stint with the show 'Riverdance').
In
addition to her international itinerary, she has a very busy home
program. Carmel travels the length and breadth of Ireland and continues
to provide top class entertainment to discerning audiences.
Back
home in Galway, Carmel and her Band can still be heard regularly
at her old haunt, 'The Salthill Hotel' (e-mail: salthillhotel@eircom.net).
It was there that she launched her Album "Keepin' Up The Payments"
which you can now order through the Contact
page
in
January 1999, Carmel performed some of the tracks from her Album
'live' on the Carrie Crowley show on R.T.E., Radio 1. Her rendition
of track 3 from her C.D. 'Walls and Windows' was later re-broadcast
as part of a millennium special edition of R.T.E's 'Play Back' in
January, 2000.
Now
that Carmel has her own web site, she is planning to take her music
to greater heights and to a bigger global audience.
